Monaghan is a lovely small town in the North of the Republic of Ireland. It has a small shopping center ( with a McDonalds ;) ), a number of Pubs , a swimming pool, a gym and everything you need, but it is still small enough for me to reach most of it by walking.
Most of the people here are soo friendly!! This is a prejudice about Irish people that is true. It is not like in Germany where everybody is very "cold". I never recognised this before I came to Ireland, but I think this is something I will miss when I go back.
